Our Values
Three Pillars
Every brother of Nu Alpha Kappa is built on the same three pillars. Select a pillar to see what it means to us.
Our first priority is the reason we are on campus: the degree. Brothers hold each other accountable with study hours, shared course notes, and mentorship from upperclassmen and alumni who have already walked the path.
From first generation college students to future graduate students, NAK makes sure every brother walks across that stage.

We do not just talk about brotherhood, we embody it. The bond built in the Omicron Chapter shows up everywhere: in the classroom, at every event, and in the years long after graduation.
When you join NAK, you gain brothers in Reno and across every chapter in the nation. That network never expires.

NAK was founded to give Latino students a home on campus, and our culture remains the heart of everything we do. From the Machete dance to NAKLAND, we celebrate it openly and invite the whole campus to celebrate with us.
As the first non-exclusive Latino fraternity at UNR, our doors are open to men of all backgrounds who respect our values and carry pride in where they come from.

Where We Draw The Line
The Omicron Chapter of Nu Alpha Kappa Fraternity, Inc. does not tolerate hazing in any form. Respect is the foundation of our brotherhood, and no tradition, event, or expectation will ever compromise the dignity, safety, or wellbeing of any member or prospective member.
We uphold the policies of Nu Alpha Kappa Fraternity, Inc., the University of Nevada, Reno, and the State of Nevada. Anyone with a concern is encouraged to contact us directly at omicron@nakinc.org.
If these values sound like yours, we want to meet you.
